Hoping to open a new center within the next few months and really looking for information on Point of Sale Systems and Insurance.

That’s great news! There are two articles regarding insurance currently on the site. As far as point of sale, before you start looking around, try to set a budget and then go from there. The prices vary greatly. Also don’t dismiss the $150 dollar registers from Sam’s club. It’s much easier to upgrade to a full POS later than to rush into making an expansive purchase and then wishing you went with something else. I will have more information on both topics. In the meanwhile, if you’re already looking at some options for full POS systems, just send me a link, and I’ll point out some key things about each one and share my thoughts.

Hi, Is your inflatable business still up and running?

The business was sold to two partners, I think they later had a falling out, and one branch closed while the other remains open under a new name, and last I heard has been doing great.

What’s the new name? Why aren’t you starting up another inflatable center? I’m looking to open one in the St. Louis area. Thought I wanted to franchise, but no so much after I read all their rules & regulations. I’ve finished my business plan and now ready for the next step…..very scary though.

Do you have any thoughts on the PartyCenter software? I was thinking to purchase that as my POS system.

Any thoughts on PartyWirks integrated system?
    Redemption Plus for supplies?
    The Pinball Co.?
    The Inflatable Depot?
    Captain Bounce?

Would love to hear your comments on these suppliers.
    Thanx!

How do you search the site for key words in the member area?
Are there floor plans? What is the average size footage of an inflatable business?
How much space is needed between inflatables?
How is power delivered to inflatable is safe manner?
How do you arrange inflatables with blowers?
How come I cannot see any comments left on articles from other members?
Am I the only member? LOL

      Hello Larry,

Towards the bottom right hand side of every article on the website you’ll find a search box – use that to search for keywords OR use the list of keywords or “tags” just above the search box.

There are no floor plans, every building is different and everyone customizes the layout to their needs. There are several articles about the layout and location on the website.

We’ve had inflatables spaced out 2 – 3 feet. At the end of the day we’d have employees arrange them back to proper spots as with all the bouncing they will move a little.

For safe operation of the blower you want to position it in a way where it has air access and its not ‘squished’ between the wall or the inflatable. You also want to make sure the sleeve connecting it to the inflatable is not folded over, and regularly clean the vent/filter on the blower.

Believe it or not, most members do not leave comments. However you’re certainly not the only member :)
