Choosing Your Hours of Operation
This is an important consideration. My larger center is open 7 days a week, from 10 am – 6pm on weekdays. On weekends we’d stay open until 9pm on Fridays, 10pm on Saturdays and usually 5pm on Sundays unless we had late birthday parties. This is a lot to keep up with, but the customers expect it. The second, smaller center is only open Wednesday through Sunday. This is easier to manage and we forward the phones, so parties can be booked during closed days.
There are many days I wish we were closed at least one day a week. This needs to be established early after opening, so customers can get used to your schedule. We do change hours in summer and winter. We close earlier Monday through Thursday in winter. This is because we learned that after the time changes and it gets dark early, our open jump was very slow. In the summer, we extend our hours, because people are out later.
