Ashton Kutcher made a very powerful and motivating speech at the Teen Choice awards this month. I think the speech was in part inspired by still being “in character” after playing the role of Steve Jobs in the new Jobs Film. Ashton covers three topics: Opportunity (always working hard), Being Sexy (smart, generous, thoughtful), and Building a Life (not just living a life).

I think its the last point that we need to be constantly reminded of – its OK to “march to the beat of a different drummer” and pursue what we’re passionate about, instead of simply following in the footsteps of others.
