Indoor Inflatable Bounce House Center Opens in Racine, WI

Bounce and Play Kids Center in Racine, WI

Katherine Kostman opened a new indoor inflatable jump center business she previously only wished existed in her local community of Racine, WI.

The endeavor grew out of Kostman’s own experience with hosting her son’s 5th birthday party. “I wanted to go to a place that featured bouncies,” she said, referring to the inflatable bounce houses made for jumping around.

The problem was – there was nothing nearby that offered indoor jump castles so she started thinking about opening her own kids’ play business and the idea kept coming back.

“I believe everything happens for a reason,” she said.

In forming her own children’s party zone, Kostman wanted a place that was safe, indoors and would keep youngsters active. “Kids play video games at home … and I didn’t want to do that here.”

Bounce & Play will be for children up to the age of 10, she said and it will have about six or seven bounce houses.

We will also have two basketball games, a Ping-Pong table and an air-hockey table, Kostman said — “Things that kids have to stand to do and to move around to do.”

Babies or toddlers up to the age of 3 will have their own play area with age-appropriate activities.

The entry fee will be $9.25 per child, but only $5 for children up to age 3. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, and a local restaurant that will bring in the pizza.

Kostman has been interviewing job candidates and expects to employ 10 part-employees initially.

The 6,200 square foot Bounce & Play facility is located at 4901 Washington Ave., Racine, WI in the Westgate Square.

Bounce & Play is open 10am to 7pm Monday-Thursday, 10am to 8pm Friday-Saturday and 11am – 6pm on Sundays.

This goes to show: if you stay motivated, driven and committed to being successful you will accomplish what you set out to do!
